6 Travel Must-Haves for Self-care on the Road

Don’t sacrifice your hard earned self-care routine when you’re traveling

We’re all getting out in the world again which means it’s time to think about travel. But while we’ve been home, many of us have enhanced our self-care routines, which we don’t want to give up. Your self-care is important, so with a few easy steps, you can bring your self-care routine on the road with you. Here are 6 travel must-haves for whether you are going on a road trip, a girl’s weekend or a long overdue family reunion:

1. Enhance your environment: Bring along an Isle de Nature Pagua Bay scent coin to make any hotel room, car or cabin smell luxurious. It’s a ceramic coin dipped in natural fragrance oils, inspired by the Caribbean island of Dominica. After all, you don’t want to smell the leftovers from the previous guest (or worse!)
2. Don’t neglect your skin (the largest organ on your body). I always travel with sunscreen, even if I’m headed somewhere where the forecast calls for rain. Get Olita mineral sunscreen. With a tinted version, it's great for using on bare skin or over makeup. It’s SPF 30 and is made in the USA  and vegan.
3. Treat your hair like you’re at a salon. Pack MASAMI’s luxury travel kit. It’s perfect to keep your hair hydrated and healthy, without frizz or any bad ingredients: no sulfates, parabens or phthalates. The shampoo, conditioner, shine serum and styling cream will ensure you have a great hair day every day.

4. If you plan on being active, bring a comfortable pair of socks from Pandere. They are lightweight, won't constrict your bloodflow and are great for hiking, running or any other adventure you will embark on. Your feet will thank you.

5. Invest in some secure patented locking earring backs from Chrysmela. I’ve been swimming on a lovely beach vacation and lost an earring (a diamond stud nonetheless), making the vacation a lot less lovely. Chrysmela earring backs are made in Japan and will give you much needed peace of mind.

6. Sleep well with Impact Naturals CBD Rest supplements, designed to be faster-acting, longer lasting and more predictable than tinctures, gummies or gel capsules. I bring these wherever I go because a good night’s sleep can make or break your trip.

Of course, eating healthy, getting regular exercise (I like Yoga with Adriene on YouTube) and spending time with friends can keep your mental and physical health strong. But a little extra self-care is always a good thing. We’d love to hear what other travel items you bring along to keep your self-care routine alive and well, wherever you are.
