After three years of dreaming, iterating, and pivoting, it's time. Like everyone else, we're feeling the Covid-19 effects. Disrupted supply chains, production slowdowns, and exciting new challenges abound. But when you think of it, when is the timing ever right? What is the signal that it's the perfect time to do a thing, anything?
It doesn't exist.
We're launching now because we've spent years meticulously designing our first product, a beeswax candle, and refining a home fragrance brand that we believe is needed now more than ever. Consider that we're spending more time in our homes than at any other time in history. We're looking for comfort and small luxuries to keep us content during a time of unprecedented tumult and turmoil. We can't control what happens outside our four walls, but our homes are our refuge.
Why wouldn't we make them as enjoyable as we can?
Scents evoke memories, and for us, memories of past adventures. Our first scent, Pagua Bay, captures the essence of the Caribbean island Dominica, known as “Nature Island” for it’s lush natural beauty. Dominica is the largest and most northerly of the Windward Islands, nestled between the French islands of Guadeloupe and Marie-Galante to the north and Martinique to the south.
This fragrance combines the essence of the Dominican bay leaf (very different from this one) with native spices, florals and woods that will fill your home with luxurious travel vibes. Wanderlust safely at home and daydream about your first post-self isolation trip.
But, our candles aren't yet ready to ship.
While we'd love to ramp up production and get our products to you immediately, safety is our priority. Our ceramist is working in isolation at her home studio per New York's current stay-at-home order. This means our first batch of vessels will take a little longer to create.
We know they're worth the wait.
Each vessel is artfully made out of an incredible, translucent clay designed to glow when lit and bathe your home in soft, flattering light through its stunning yet subtle interior honeycomb design. Our candle blend consists of three ingredients: Dominican beeswax, soy, and coconut oil.
That's it: no chemicals, paraffin wax, palm oil or other contaminants found in most scented candles.
We're launching now because we believe that we've created the best beeswax candle possible, and we want you to experience it in due time. We understand that up until now, buying candles online is a bit of a dodgy prospect. Fragrance selection is personal and intimate. It's hard to know what you're committing to when investing in an online candle purchase.
That's why we created an elegant solution—introducing: The Scent Coin.
We'd call it a sampler, but it is so much more than that. Each Scent Coin is hand-dipped in the same pure, fragrance oil we use in our Pagua Bay candle. Order and place it in an open space in your home.

You'll want to reserve your candle early. There are only 200 candles available for purchase in this batch. We expect to ship them in the coming months and will send you periodic updates as we prepare shipments.
Launching a company is an adventure, and Covid-19 has added another layer of complexity, but we're up for the challenge.
